Release Me, released in 2006, was co-written with Greg Loos of LolaPop Records and produced by industry veteran Ralph Stover. This album was my first real attempt at songwriting, and I was surprised to find that articulating my interactions with God was harder than it probably should have been. I continually find myself letting the busyness of life crowd Him out, and letting the mistakes I’m making distract me from His goodness. Working on this project definitely opened my eyes to how much I needed to let go of all the unimportant stuff and let God be God.
